Before the first launch

  1. Check the actual release assets, operating system, and requirements.
  2. Read the release notes, compatibility, and verification results.
  3. Prepare a separate profile for testing and install your game engine independently.

Building from source?

The documented development environment uses Node.js 24 or later, npm 11, and Git. Windows and Linux need their respective native build prerequisites.

The desktop Electron application and the browser development target are separate workspaces. Use the source guide to build the target you intend to run.

Build and launch PlayWeld

A version number is only the starting point.

Compare source identity, package availability, checksums, signatures, and installed runtime results separately. Screenshots demonstrate the captured application, not an installer acceptance claim.
