A minimal protocol-1 worker that returns a greeting without model, network, or project access.
What this example does
A minimal protocol-1 worker that returns a greeting without model, network, or project access.
Requirements and installation
Use Node.js 24 or later for the standalone worker exercise. The manifest declares PlayWeld service compatibility >=0.4.0 <1.0.0 and worker protocol 1. Download and extract the ZIP, then inspect the extracted local directory in the desktop Plugins view. Read its capabilities before enabling it.
The example uses the current source contract. The older 0.1.x testing prereleases are outside its declared range. Plugin worker isolation must be available on your host.
Evidence and limits
The website test suite runs the actual Node worker through initialization, tool responses, invalid inputs, and shutdown. Archive identity, required files, manifests, and checksums are checked separately. This is a protocol exercise; desktop isolation and native engine acceptance remain separate checks.
See the publisher walkthrough for exact commands and the example downloads for source details.
Maintenance
